Seventeen players took part with entrants coming from NSW, QLD, SA, WA and VIC. Blind golf has 3 sight categories; B1, B2 and B3 depending on the player’s vision capabilities. B1 players are totally blind.

Victorian Jeff Ellis (B3), with his wife Maureen as caddie, played very consistent golf scoring 43 and 40 points over the two-day event to win the 2011 Championship.

Mr Doug Sloan, Tournament Director and Blind Golf Australia Vice-President hosted the presentation of trophies. Ms Margaret Brown from The Royal Society for the Blind in Adelaide assisted in the presentation of trophies, and thanked the RSB’s three Recreation and Leisure Officers, the Adelaide Shores Golf Club and staff, and the representatives from Blind Golf Australia for their support throughout the event. She also thanked the wonderful participants and their caddies for supporting the national event.
